5 mostre al Museo MAGMA a cura degli studenti ISIA di Urbino
Sabato 18 novembre ore 17.00 inaugurazione della mostra e presentazione progetti
Gli elaborati in mostra sono stati realizzati dagli studenti del biennio specialistico in Comunicazione e Design per l’Editoria dell’ISIA di Urbino durante il corso Progettazione grafica dell’immagine tenuto da Mauro Bubbico. In collaborazione con MAGMA, gli studenti hanno raccontato e valorizzato diversi fondi del Museo del Manifesto.

5 exhibitions, curated by the students of the ISIA in Urbino, will be on display at the MAGMA Museum.
Saturday, November 18th, at 5pm opening of the exhibition and presentation of projects.
The works of the exhibition were created by the students of the MA course in Communication and Publishing Design at ISIA in Urbino during the course of Graphic Image Design taught by Mauro Bubbico. In co-operation with MAGMA, the students have told and enhanced several funds of the MAGMA poster museum.

Il maestro Milton Glaser ci suggerisce che nell’arte di formulare immagini, ogni cosa può essere ricondotta ad altro, che elementi eterogenei, se messi in relazione, sprigionano nuovi significati e nuovi modi di intendere la realtà. Osservando Glaser, abbiamo deciso di abbracciare il suo metodo, indagando quindi il rapporto che le sue opere possono avere con il passato, il presente e il futuro. Questo libro parla di Milton Glaser, di rappresentazione e di immagini, ma soprattutto parla di “altro”.

As great Maestro Milton Glaser suggests us, in the art of formulating images, everything you see can be traced back to something else; that heterogeneous elements, when linked together, unleash new meanings and way of interpreting the reality.
By observing Glaser, we have decided to fully embrace his method, thus investigating the realationship his own works can have to the past, present and future. This is a book about Milton Glaser, about representation and images, but it is mostly about “something else”.

“Niente è più vero del falso” racconta passo dopo passo l’immagine di una rivista alternativa in cui arte, fumetti, musica, inchieste giornalistiche e molto altro si incontrano, questo è quello che Frigidaire ha rappresentato dal 1980. Questo progetto nasce con l’intenzione di volere mettere insieme e raccontare la storia di Frigidaire e tutti gli editoriali postumi, della più creativa, esplosiva e imprevedibile delle riviste italiane, tra siringhe, viaggi in Afghanistan, androidi muscolosi e una cittadella utopica nel cuore dell’Umbria. Il racconto di chi c’era e di chi non c’era.

“Niente è più vero del falso” step by step tells about the image of an alternative magazine, in which art, comics, music, reports and much more meet. That’s what Frigidaire has represented since 1980.
This project was born with the aim of putting together and narrating the story of Frigidaire and many other posthumous editorials; of the most creative, explosive and unpredictable of Italian magazines, among syrings, trips to Afghanistan, muscled robots and an utopian citadel in the heart of Umbria. Venghino signori, venghino!

Venghino signori, venghino! è un’ascesa immersiva nel mondo del circo. Il progetto esplora un mondo surreale, rievocando l’eterogeneità e l’estrosità della grafica circense, in particolare quella italiana, affissa generalmente in modo abusivo laddove c’è spazio. Tra nozioni storiche e accostamenti visivi armonici si ripercorrono, in diversi formati, la storia del circo e l’archivio museale. Le reinterpretazioni visive proposte colgono l’occasione per dare forma, tra le pagine, ad un mondo immaginario dal sapore onirico fatto di collage e colori fluo; e per sottolineare, infine, l’importante tematica sociale dello sfruttamento degli animali e della condizione di degrado della figura femminile in ambito circense.

Come Near, Ladies And Gentlemen! Come Near!

Venghino signori, venghino! is an immersive ascent into the world of Circus. The project explores a surreal world, re-evoking the heterogeneity, the eccentricity and whimsy of the circus graphics, especially Italian ones, abusively affixed where there is space. Between historical notions and harmonious visual juxtapositions, the history of the circus and the museum archive are traced in different formats. The visual reinterpretations here proposed take the opportunity to give shape, through the pages, to an imaginary world with a dreamlike flavor made of collage and fluorescent colors; and also to emphasize, finally, the important social issue of the exploitation of animals and the degraded condition of the female figure in the circus. XFORTYSEVEN vuole indagare il rapporto che ha la fotografia all’interno dei periodici italiani dal dopoguerra ad oggi, andando ad analizzare come la fotografia veniva utilizzata di testata in testata per enfatizzare le notizie. Osservando l’evolversi delle copertine e dell’utilizzo dell’immagine nei periodici si vanno ad osservare anche i cambiamenti della società; dai cambiamenti politici ai gossip alle notizie d’attualità.

XFORTYSEVEN aims to investigate the relationship between the photography and the Italian periodicals from the post-war period until today. By analyzing how photography was used from heading to heading to emphasize news. By observing the evolution of the covers and the employment of the image in periodicals, you can also observe the changes of the society; from the political changes and gossip, to breaking news. XFORTYSERVEN will be on display at the BATTI IL SECONDO 5 exhibition from November,18th to December, 10th 2023.
